This competitive section is composed of the most recent documentaries that were
carefully chosen to coincide with the EIDF 2006 theme, &Prospering Asia, Reconciliation
& Coexistence.* This section, which includes 12 outstanding works from various nations
such as Japan, Israel, France, and Denmark containing social significance and
grave local scene, aims to discover original and experimental documentary makers and
to represent the current spirit of Asian documentaries.
A total amount of USD 25,000 will be awarded in the main competition section
of EIDF 2006, ※Festival Choice.§
